The Stierli 420 CNC WP Hybrid is an efficient and effective horizontal bending center that delivers both 420 kN or 46 US tons of working power and incredible accuracy.
It features Stierli’s newest control with color touchscreen display and intuitive graphic interface, delivering efficiency with a modern 1 or 2-axis control. Stierli’s bending software leads operators through programming via simple dialog and inputs. Bending angle and leg lengths can be entered directly in line with the part drawing or your machine can be connected through a CAM interface. Up to 100,000 programs with 20 steps per program can be stored.
With modern hybrid hydraulic technology, the Stierli 420 CNC WP engages the motor only during operation – running during bends, and turning off between operations, creating a much quieter environment and resulting in energy savings of up to 80%.
The Stierli 420 CNC WP Hybrid comes optional with automatic measuring and re-bend capabilities to give perfect bends regardless of material characteristics. Spring-back data is calculated from bending tables stored in the control and can be added to or edited as needed. For each bend, the Stierli 420 CNC WP Hybrid makes the initial bend, measures and then re-bends each piece – assuring maximum process reliability and precision. In addition, the length before bending and the stop positions are calculated automatically.
An 8-inch working height and robust, slot-free table are features that set Stierli apart. The large working plate ensures effective positioning of very large bent parts. A sturdy 200 mm tool holder with 80 mm diameter pin enables use of a wide range of tools, with quick and easy tooling changes. Stierli’s special oil-lubricated guided cylinder requires no maintenance and no open guide! Bending operations are initiated by a foot pedal.
