The Stierli 220 CNC WP Hybrid is an efficient and effective horizontal bending center that delivers 220 kN (25 US tons) of power and ultra-reliable accuracy.
The 220 CNC WP Hybrid features Stierli’s newest touchscreen control with intuitive graphic interface and 1 or 2-axis control. Stierli’s bending software guides operators through programming via simple dialog and inputs. Bending angle and segment lengths can be entered directly in line with the drawing or the machine can be connected to the user network with a CAM interface. Up to 100,000 programs with 20 steps per program can be stored.
With modern hybrid hydraulic technology, the Stierli 220 CNC W/P bender engages the motor only during operation – running during bends, and turning off between operations, creating a much quieter environment and resulting in energy savings of up to 80%.
The Stierli 220 CNC WP Hybrid horizontal bending machine comes with optional automatic measuring and re-bend capabilities to give perfect bends regardless of material characteristics. Spring-back data is calculated from bending tables stored in the control and can be added to or edited as needed. For each bend, the Stierli 220 CNC WP Hybrid copper bar bender makes the initial bend, measures and then re-bends each piece – assuring maximum process reliability and precision. In addition, the length before bending and the stop positions are calculated automatically.
A 5-inch working tool height (6-inch available) and robust, slot-free table are features that set Stierli apart. The oversize working table ensures effective positioning of very large bent parts. A sturdy 130/150 mm tool holder with 60 mm diameter mounting pin enables use of a wide range of tools, with quick and easy tooling changes. Stierli’s special oil-lubricated guided cylinder requires no maintenance and no open guide. Bending operations are initiated by a foot pedal.
