The bending specialists at Boschert USA recently came to the aid of a customer creating a unique mobile coffee truck. After seeing PBT’s profile bending capabilities in action on YouTube, Jeremy Oyler, from BeBoldCoffee in Millbrook, Alabama reached out to Boschert USA for some help to form a pair of unique trim pieces for his retrofit of a 1985 VW Doka T2Crew Cab truck. We took on the challenge with the demo PBT Arkus 12 in our showroom. With guidance and specs from Oyler, our profile bending specialist formed the trim that gives the finished truck its unique profile. You can find the truck, trim, and BeBold coffee on the 30A in Grayton Beach, Florida. All that’s left: Order up the cappuccinos.

The PBT team recently got a pair of inquiries about profile bending machinery for playground manufacturers. What’s interesting though is that one was from Slovenia and the other was from Thailand. While we started to bicker over who would get to do the installation, cooler heads prevailed, and we passed on the leads to the more appropriate regions. Dare to dream, nonetheless.

Through Boschert USA, its exclusive North American representative, Boschert GmbH of Lörrach, Germany, is excited to introduce a new programmable, automatic copper bar loading and clamping system for its CU Profi series of punching machines. The combination of this new clamping and loading system allows operators to streamline their automated production processes while limiting new staffing requirements. With the new loading and clamping automation system, operators can load a variety of widths and lengths of copper bar stock based on their job list, and with proper programming, can let the CU Profi punching series machines do the rest. The system will automatically pick up the new copper bar stock, and evaluate, load and clamp the bar to perform the prescribed punches for each width and length. The finished bars are automatically pushed out to the finished product tray. The new Boschert copper bar loading system with automating clamping and loading is just one more example of the company working to make its customers’ jobs more efficient and productive.
